     2005 MEGA Conference

The MEGA Conference is the largest professional development conference held in Mississippi. Hosted by the Mississippi Department of Education, the conference theme is "From At-Risk to Excellence: Promoting Academic Success for All Students." In 2005, the Mississippi Department of Education is working in partnership with the Mississippi Alliance for Arts Education to produce an Arts Education Professional Development Track. Additional arts education training and off-site events are sponsored by the MAAE.

The goal of the MEGA Conference is to advance the efforts of state educators by providing professional development to ensure the successful implementation of No Child Left Behind and the state’s Accountability system as educators work with all students to best meet their unique and individual needs.
