The Mississippi Alliance for Arts
Education is pleased to announce the fifth
(how'd we go from 3rd to 5th) annual Student Art Exhibit to be held during the Arts
Front and Center Forum on Friday, April 29, 2011 at the
Mississippi Children's Museum in Jackson, MS. MAAE would
like to honor Mississippi’s best visual arts students who
demonstrate outstanding achievement by exhibiting their
work during the forum and through the month of May. The
2011 exhibit is open to our membership to sponsor a
student or school (kindergarten-higher education) based on
level of membership.
These levels are:

Student — one piece of art may be submitted.

Individual — two pieces of art may be submitted
-
School — three pieces of art may be submitted
-
Patron — four pieces of art may be submitted.
-
Benefactor — six pieces of art may be submitted
-
Lifetime — eight pieces of art may be submitted.

Grand Benefactor — ten pieces of art may be submitted
Please note: Information about renewing or
upgrading your MAAE membership may be found at the MAAE website
www.msartsalliance.com. New members are welcome.

February 22, 2010.???
To reserve space for the exhibit you may begin
registration on Monday, February 28, 2011 by sending the
following information to

is 'I') will send a written confirmation. Please cc
a copy of your registration to the executive director

ensure that registration is received. Disclaimer:

Museum will not be responsible for any lost or damaged
items.
The following information is needed for the
registration:
Please attach a copy of this information to the back of
each piece of art on the bottom left hand corner.
The final date for registering to participate in the art
exhibit will be Monday, April 19, 2010
(updated deadline). No extension will
be allowed. Name tags and certificates of participation
will be made prior to the exhibit. Certificates may be
picked up at the close of the forum.
Guidelines for exhibit: (altered..ok)

All work must be high quality work. (We have very limited
display space available.)

Two-dimensional artwork must be matted in a professionally
cut black mat and displayed on a clean and operable easel.
(You must provide easel with work.)

Three-dimensional artwork must be presented on a black
drape. Prior notice will be required for 3-dimensional
work needing a table for display.

Once names are submitted no substitutions may be made.
Schedule for delivering artwork to the Mississippi
Children's Museum:(altered)

Thursday, April 28, between 9:00-5:00 p.m. for members
within 45 miles of Jackson.

Friday, April 29, between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. for
exhibitors outside 45 miles.
Exhibit Date: Friday, April 29, 2011
(All work must be removed on the final day of the
exhibit by 5:00 p.m.)
NEW for 2010: Best of Show recognition in each of four
categories – Elementary (K-5); Middle (grades 6-8);
High School (9-12); College/University
Winners will be recognized at the awards ceremony
Friday evening.
A
“Walk Through the Art Exhibits” will be
held Friday evening for students to discuss their works
with conference participants. Workshops for exhibitors of
student art, their parents and art teachers will be
conducted on Saturday, May 8, 2010. Registration for the
